The Tap

Situated in Tamworth town centre, Staffordshire is a micro-brewery set in a historic building backing onto Tamworth’s Norman Castle. It is near the Town Hall in Market Street. See pictures and further information on https://www.weekendnotes.co.uk/tamworth-tap/

And listen to Ben singing in the outside space on Facebook, Tamworth Brewing Co.

My husband is a regular at The Tap. His love of Real Ales is the reason I visited The Tap on 31.8.19. The bar boasted several pumps and lots of variety for Gin lovers. I was recommended to try a Rhubarb and Ginger gin which I did – my first ever gin as I had always turned up my nose remembering my mother used to sip a gin and orange on occasions when I was little.

My it was lovely. And the second one, a double, was more than I could handle as I found out. Hic!

The place had atmosphere, the queue for the bar was out the door at one point but everyone found a seat in this quirky building and outside either the front or the back.

Rating : 5 stars. Go, see, taste.
